Fuzzys / Dugout
1979 Theme Shows
These two shows at the end of March were a different format than our usual shows. Instead of doing the chronological order, we decided to do a best of show with a 1979 theme. The theme wasn't so much to try to play like The Who of 1979, it was more the look. The set list resembled some of the 79 songs, with a few surprises. " Another Tricky Day" was added, along with " Join Together" and " Getting in Tune." We were getting tired of changing in and out of outfits, so we went for the simple Pete look of 79, blue sweeter shirt with red scarf, and the classic Roger look, Black tee shirt and jeans.
Fuzzys was by far the better show of the two. It was a three hour non stop marathon. Marc from Connecticut drove down to see us, Margaret, Magic, Judy ( with her cowboy hat on ) my pregnant wife, my Dad, Bob, Debby, and many others refused to let us leave the stage. The show opened with my usual speech, " this is a tribute to the greatest Rock & Roll band in the world" and ended with Pete Townshends classic line " It was most enjoyable."
